Very private 300 foot water front property in Bluff City TN with premiere Trout Fishing on the South Holston River ranked as the 5th best River by USA Today. Very close to Bristol TN/VA where you will find an abundance of activities for the whole family such as Bristol Motor Speedway, Birthplace of Country Music Museum. 2 bedroom/2 bath with covered outdoor area that includes both Gas and Charcoal Grill. $195.00 per night for 2 people. Each additional person is $40 per night, this is a very strict policy. Max 7 people. We do have security cameras on the Parking Area only of the property.
Play a game of Horse Shoe by day and enjoy an evening by the South Holston River roasting marshmallows at the Fire Pit, firewood included. This unit also boosts an outdoor shower in the warmer months.
We also have a Coffee Bar stocked with to-go cups, ground coffee, K-Cups, assorted creamers and sweeteners. A 55" Smart TV in the Living Room offering most all of the streaming services. Bring your personal login info to enjoy your favorite streaming service. YouTube TV is provided for your convenience on the Living Room TV.
Many Local Fishing Guides available for hire to take you on the South Holston River by boat to some of the best fishing. Fishing Guides can also provide fishing gear and fishing instructions. See our website for recommendations.
November 1 - February 1 no fishing along South Holston River in front of Pad 1 and Pad 2 is allowed per TVA due to the spawning season between. Fishing on other parts of the South Holston River including Pad 4 and Pad 5 is allowed year round.

Over a Decade
I've been staying at Pappaws for over a decade, both Pad1 and 2. I always found them very clean and very comfortable. They are well supplied with utensils so you may cook or barbeque.
Perfect Spot
Papaws is the perfect spot for a trip on the South Holston River. Clean and comfortable, it is a great place to unwind after a long day of fishing. Beautiful spot right on the river.
Great Two Days
Pawpaws Fishing Pad 2 is great place to unwind after spending the day on the water. Can’t beat sitting along the river reliving the day. Definitely will return.

Annual Trip
My family has been going to Papaw's fishing pad every year since 2020. We Love it at Papaw's!! Very relaxing and peaceful to spend a weekend or a week. Great fishing also. Visited this year September 5th through the 8th. Had a wonderful time !

Great times at Pappaw's

So many great memories with old fishing buddies who have passed away & now new great memories with Grandsons. Love the location, amenities & your wonderful hospitality. We love coming to Pappaw’s! The house is always clean and well stocked, along with the grills and patio tables to use while you’re there! He had corn hole and horse shoes to play, with fire pits as well! He has a wood pile to burn from and plenty of river bank to fish from! Access in and out of the river for Kayaks and for the kids getting in and out! You really can’t beat the location and amazing cookies when you stay! We will be back for sure!!
Great Stay
Perfect place for a fishing trip. We brought our drift boat and floated and fished the river. The waterfront seating area was a perfect place to relax after the day. There is a nice firepit next to the water. Inside the house was clean and well furnished. Can't wait to come back.

This place is truly amazing. It is such a beautiful, peaceful property. It was beyond our expectations Bob better known as Papow is the most warm hearted, kind, caring and genuine man you will ever have the pleasure to meet. The day before Thanksgiving our stove went out (we are a big family my husband and I have 8 kids and holidays are very important to us and one of our main things is all of us together cooking a big feast) With food already prepped no working stove and it being after 4 we went searching for any airbnb that we could find and because it was after 3 none of the places would allow us to check in that day. Thankfully we found this place Papow contacted us within 15 minutes and let us check in that day. When we arrived we was taken away by the view and how beautiful this place was. Inside was a plate of delicious variety of homemade cookies. All the amenities you could possibly need and every part of this home told a story. This is not a place where you will feel like a guest Ive never been on a vacation where I felt like I did here. My grandparents passed years ago but something about this place filled my heart in a way I cant explain. Bob (papow) always made sure that we had everything we needed and that we was satisfied. He also took the time out of his day on Thanksgiving to come by and bring my kids more homemade cookies. Not only did he save us when we thought our Thanksgiving was ruined he gave us a Thanksgiving we will always cherish and never forget. This is a place that my family will definitely come back to. Out of all the airbnbs ive stayed at Bob (Papow) yours has by far been the best.
